Song Of The Day! Exactly- Punchline

The label Fueled By Ramen has produced some of my favorite bands in the last couple of years. I can always count on them for good music. Two years ago someone introduced me to the band Punchline. I listened to them and found them decent, then I shoved them aside. Around the beginning of the summer I was looking through my music library and stumbled upon the album 37 Everywhere. "Flashlight" soon became one of my favorite songs at that time and then the album as a whole grew on me.

I picked the song "Exactly" as the Song of the Day for a two reasons. First, I like Punchline's pop punk sound. Even though there isn't anything that makes them stand out from all of the other pop punk bands, I just simply really like their music. The next reason I picked this song is because of its lyrical content. I connect with the message of growing up and losing sight in all of your dreams. It is like suddenly you wake up one morning and find you've turned out to be everything you always said you wouldn't. Even though the lyrics may seem pessimistic the song actually has a good message about regaining that hope you once had when you were a little kid(Plyrics.com that shit).
